Amorphophallus Konjac, 15 June 2005

Here it is, rising from the ground in mid-June, a late sleeper by NC standards for sure! There are actually seven plants here, which propagated from the original mother bulb and two offsets. This plant blooomed fragrantly in the spring of 2006 in late April. The flower was three feet tall and exuded a fearsome odor for a couple of days.
